  • Patent number: 5360159
Abstract: The invention relates to a sealed mailer or a business form assembly for providing a series of such mailers. In one form, the mailer has a folded edge and three other edges sealed by adhesive. A line of perforation extends along a first edge opposite the folded edge. Adhesive along the other two opposite edges is of a peel-apart arrangement such that after the first edge has been detached, the other two edges can be peeled apart to open out the mailer without significantly damaging the mailer. In another form, two rectangular sheets are sealed along all four edges with a line of perforation along a marginal edge portion of a first of the edges. Two edges adjacent the first edge and extending normal thereto are secured to one another by a peel-apart adhesive arrangement such that after the first edge portion has been torn off along the line of perforation, the two sheets from which the mailer is formed can be peeled apart from one another without significantly damaging the mailer.

  • Patent number: 5318476
Abstract: A record pad of paper sheets includes a number of stacked sets of sheets. Each set comprises a quadrate top sheet having top and bottom faces and for receiving indicia on its top face and having a first edge; a quadrate record sheet having top and bottom faces and for receiving transferred indicia from the top sheet on its top face, and having a first edge extending generally parallel to and outwardly from the first edge of the top sheet to define a margin; a transfer mechanism (such CF and CB constructions) is disposed between the top and record sheets for transferring indicia from the top sheet to the record sheet; and repositionable adhesive is provided on the top sheet bottom face at the top sheet first edge for releasably connecting the top sheet to the record sheet. The pad also includes mechanical fastener or adhesive for securing the record sheets in the pad of stacked sheets together at the margins.

  • Patent number: 4105225
Abstract: A transfer sheet of a transfer sheet assembly for use in an Autographic Register System has a coating which embodies a colorless color former. The coating is porous and the colorless color former is retained in the pores of the coating until autographic writing is applied to the uppermost record web of the assembly whereby the colorless color former is squeezed out of the coating onto the upper face of the next record web of the assembly. The record webs of the assembly have a developing receptive nature to develop the color of the squeezed out color former. The area of development corresponds to the autographic writing applied to the uppermost sheet.
