  • Patent number: 5287294
Abstract: A system for calibrating the input tray of an integrated circuit handling device for temperature. The system includes a plurality of fixed sensors mounted at locations along the input tray of the handling device. The fixed sensors serve to sense temperatures within defined zones corresponding to the locations at which the fixed sensors are positioned. Various heaters are also included, and these heaters adjust temperature within the defined zones in response to temperature readings sensed by the fixed sensors. Each of a plurality of thermocouple sensors is received within an integrated circuit body. Such an IC body-carried thermocouple sensor is positionable at a location along the input tray of the handling device at a location closely proximate the location of a fixed sensor. Such thermocouple sensors serve to sense the actual temperature to which an IC passing along the input tray would be exposed as it passes through a zone defined by a corresponding fixed sensor.

  • Patent number: 4302101
Abstract: A photographic printer makes a plurality of exposures on photographic print paper. The size of the exposure is determined by a mask. The proper feed length of the print paper is determined by indicia associated with the mask.

  • Patent number: 4175852
Abstract: A photographic printer includes a RUN/TEST switch which, when in the TEST position, permits a test exposure cycle to be performed without exposing print paper. This allows the operator to test the functioning of the color and density controls and the print lamp prior to the printing operation without wasting print paper.

  • Patent number: 4125326
Abstract: A photographic printer has a paper feed system for automatically advancing print paper by a predetermined feed length after each exposure. A paper feed cut off circuit terminates the paper feed after a predetermined time period in the event that the paper feed has not been previously terminated. This prevents waste of large amounts of print paper in the event of a malfunction in the automatic paper feed system.

  • Patent number: 4056024
Abstract: A web advancement and cutting method and mechanism are provided for a web which is divided into unique segments or frames each incorporating a sensing indicium and in which a plurality of frames is advanced through a cutting mechanism and cut from the web for each cycle of operation. In each cycle of operation, a digital stepper motor drive and counter combination advances the web a predetermined number of counts, generally equivalent to moving all but one of the said plurality of frames to be advanced beyond the cutting plane of a cutting mechanism, and then further advancing without stopping the web until an optical sensor senses the indicium on the last frame to be advanced through the cutting mechanism. The stepper motor is stopped and said plurality of frames is then cut from the web. Means are also provided to reduce the power consumption of the stepper motor while the cutting mechanism is actuated.
