Abstract: A bendable line voltage track lighting system includes a track having a conductor subassembly and first and second bendable sheaths that engage the conductor subassembly. The conductor subassembly includes first and second insulators that receive first and second bus-bars, respectively, and a compression gasket for biasing the two insulators into engagement with guide grooves in the bendable sheaths. Power is fed to the track by power connectors that engage the bus-bars contained within the conductor subassembly. Light fixtures are powered by making electrical contact with the bus-bars of the conductor subassembly.

Abstract: Techniques are described to provide closed captioning preferences. In an implementation, a user interface is output that is configured to accept preferences for a plurality of closed captions. A first one of the closed captions is output, based on the preferences, when available via a particular channel. A second one of the closed captions is output, based on the preferences, when the first closed caption is not available via the particular channel.

Abstract: A system and method is provided for processing, indexing, packaging, and delivering financial statements and the corresponding transaction document images to customers on a periodic basis. A cooperating system is provided for the customer to efficiently search and access those images from the customer's workstation.

Abstract: A pallet has an upper deck and a lower deck. The upper deck and the lower deck are connected by a plurality of spaced apart columns. Fork insertion apertures are formed by the upper deck, the columns and the lower deck to all four sides of the pallet. The pallet includes at least an upper deck member and a lower deck member, at least the lower deck member includes a low density core and a surrounding shell of reinforced plastic. The pallet may be made using reaction injection moulding, with said plastic being predominantly polyurethane.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for executing a series of sequential tasks existing within a system-level domain of a customer computing system providing provisioning of meta-level domain products are disclosed. For each product or product action (202), one or more sequence of tasks (250–272) is defined. Within each sequence, one or more tasks are defined as milestones (250, 252, 254, 260, 264, 270, 272). The sequence of tasks is executed, and at each milestone task, an enquiry is made of a related meta-level domain feature to determine whether, as a precondition, it has attributes associating it with a customer, and further whether the product feature holds a locking attribute that corresponds with the milestone task. If so, the execution is continued, and the product feature is placed in a locked state such that its attributes cannot be changed until execution of the task sequence is complete.

Abstract: Systems and methods of processing financial transaction information are provided. In one embodiment, a financial institution runs an index generating software program to generate a downloadable index of images of cleared checks. The account customer uses complementary software to remotely download, search, and display the index of cleared check images, together with the images themselves. In another embodiment, the financial institution periodically runs a software program to generate digital archives of the cleared check images for the account customer. The account customer is provided with secure online access to the digital archives. The account customer may use standard financial bookkeeping software to download and display the cleared check images and associate the cleared check images with transactions in the associated account registers.

Abstract: A data acquisition and perusal system and method including a database selection module, a database index generator module and a search module. The database selection module enables selection of a plurality of files for inclusion into at least one selectable database. The database index generator module enables generation of a searchable index of the data contained in the selectable database. The search module enables a search to be performed of the searchable index according to search criteria. The data acquisition and perusal system and method may also allow users to view, acquire, and generate single- or multiple-data sources locally or remotely, and allow users to compile, index, modify, and append the data sources according to default or user defined criteria. The data acquisition and perusal system and method may also selectively acquire and display data contained within remote databases depending upon the user's access permissions to such databases.

Abstract: An information capturing system and method is provided with a file authentication feature. The system generates and insert authentication codes into files selected for inclusion into a database. The system also compares the authentication code of a file selected from the database with one or more attributes about the selected file to detect whether the individually selected file was compromised. In one embodiment, the authentication code is derived from the content of the file itself. In another embodiment, the authentication code is derived from the date and time the system expects to save the file to the database. Yet another embodiment of the authentication code combines these two approaches.

Abstract: An information capturing system and method is provided that enables chat stream data to be automatically and periodically extracted from a chat room to one or more files. In particular, contiguous time-delimited segments of chat stream data are automatically and serially extracted from a chat room hosted on a computer network and the segments are stored to a plurality of files, where each file stores only a single time-delimited segment of chat stream data. The information capturing system and method also generates a searchable index of the chat stream files so that a search criterion can be used to locate words and phrases in the saved chat stream files. The system also records the date and time when the chat stream data stored in the one or more files was extracted.

Abstract: An information capturing system and method is provided for retrieving financial transaction information and related images from a financial institution web site. First, an account transaction history web page is accessed having a first set of links to processed financial transaction document images and a second set of links to an assortment of other objects. The first set of links is distinguished from the second set of links in order to automatically download the processed financial transaction document images without downloading the assortment of other objects. The method further comprises specifying a folder in which to download the processed financial transaction document images; saving the processed financial transaction document images into the specified folder; and generating or updating a searchable index of the contents of the specified folder.
