  • Publication number: 20220028005
Abstract: The present invention comprises a method of creating and organizing a Mutual Insurance Decentralized Autonomous Fund, which is a mutual insurance fund sitting on top of a decentralized autonomous organization, using smart contracts of blockchain technology. The combination between a mutual insurance fund and a decentralized autonomous organization opens up a great chance for policyholders, being also shareholders of the fund, to save their insurance costs. A Selective Groupon Sale is a method to create conditional groupon deals aiming at gathering a group of low-risk policyholders, for example a group of drivers having 5 consecutive years without any claims or accidents, into a DAF to make it a much lower risk insurance fund. Applying these methods together helps lower some of the highest entry barriers for new companies to participate into the insurance market, and so create more competition and help save costs for policyholders altogether.

  • Publication number: 20200175559
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for providing a set of column pairs, each column pair including a column of a bank statement table, and a column of a super invoice table, each column pair corresponding to a modality, the super invoice table including at least one row including data associated with multiple invoices, for each column pair, determining a feature descriptor based on an operator, a feature vector being provided based on feature descriptors of the set of column pairs, inputting the feature vector to a ML model that processes the feature vector to determine a probability of a match between the bank statement, and a super invoice represented by the super invoice table, and outputting a binary output representing one of a match and no match between the bank statement, and the super invoice based on the probability.

  • Publication number: 20150009840
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for monitoring network devices and identifying packet anomalies are described herein. Anomalies may be identified by receiving packets from a network device at a network monitor, each packet having a first time stamp added by the network device, adding a second time stamp to the packets by the network monitor, comparing the first time stamp and the second time stamp of each packet, and identifying an anomaly associated with a packet in response to a difference metric generated based on the first and second time stamps exceeding a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20140032748
Abstract: Configurable network monitoring systems, apparatus, and methods are described. The configurable system includes storage devices, processing modules, and a system chassis housing the processing modules. Each processing module includes a processing unit, a network interface card coupled to the processing unit and configured for receiving data from a communication network, a storage controller coupled to the processing unit and configured to access a corresponding one of the storage devices, and a module chassis housing the processing unit, the network interface card, and the storage controller. The system can be reconfigured by adding/removing processing modules from the system chassis.

  • Patent number: 7054559
Abstract: A system and method for modular multiplexing and amplification of optical signals in subwindows within an operating window of a fiber optic communication network. An operating window is divided into subwindows. Optical signals in each subwindow are optically amplified separately and in parallel by a plurality of optical line amplifiers. According to one embodiment, the operating window is divided into four subwindows within an erbium wavelength band. Each subwindow corresponds to a different group of channels having optical signals of a different wavelength. Modular wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) units multiplex/demultiplex optical signals in the set of multiple channels. A modular WDM unit includes a coarse WDM unit and four fine WDM units. The coarse WDM multiplexes optical signals by wavelength into subwindows separated by relatively large guard bands. A fine WDM unit further multiplexes optical signals within a subwindow by wavelength into individual channels with a fine separation.

  • Patent number: 6381883
Abstract: A method and apparatus for continuously pressure decatising a fabric include a rotatable drum (12) around which an endless belt (15) is arranged to travel for conveying a fabric (19) (and optionally a moisture laden textile (20)) between the facing surfaces of the belt (15) and the drum (12). The drum (12) is heated and fabric (19) is pressed between the belt and the drum as it is conveyed through the apparatus. The fabric (19) is subjected to pressurized saturated steam, which may be generated by evaporation of the moisture in textile (20) when it contacts the heated drum, as it is pressed. Various options other than use of a moisture laden textile (20) for supplying the steam are disclosed. The invention involves enclosing the drum in a pressure vessel (14) within which a compressed air atmosphere at ambient temperature is maintained.
