  • Patent number: 5275338
Abstract: A device is used for spraying and atomizing a liquid which is held in a container which can be emptied by air pressure. If in a device of this kind a liquid nozzle projects into a mixture nozzle disposed coaxially in front of it, so that an annular space provided for air around the liquid nozzle is open at the front towards the mixture nozzle, the feed paths for liquid and for air must not be transposed. Such transposition occurs if the container is held upside-down during spraying. In order to avoid this disadvantage two annular spaces are provided, from which passages lead to a mixture nozzle. The two annular spaces communicate with one another via throttle slots. Because of the two annular spaces the liquid can also be sprayed when the container is upsidedown.

  • Patent number: 5269445
Abstract: A container has on a neck portion thereof an external thread for a screw cap and, above the thread a sloping plane in the form of a spiral running around the outside of the container neck over an angle of 360 degrees. A head piece fitted into the container neck has a cylindrical part which bears on the inner side of the container neck and is held firmly on the container neck by a groove-bead connection formed on the outside of the cylindrical and on the inner side of the container neck. A cylindrical part of larger diameter, connected in one piece with the cylindrical part of the head piece, encloses the container neck on the outer side thereof and has on the inner side a sloping plane in the form of a peripheral spiral. The spiral surfaces lie on one another like the flanks of a thread. When the head piece is turned, therefore, the groove-bead connection is released by a wedge effect. The head piece can be removed for reuse of the container by being refilled.

  • Patent number: 5255808
Abstract: In a foldable bottle, two lines of the outer surface located opposite one another are provided as folding lines. Each of these folding lines intersects a bead-type lower folding line, running round transversely to the folding line, at a point of intersection, and intersects a bead-type upper folding line, running round transversely to the folding line, at a point of intersection. Below the point of intersection, each folding line branches into two bead-type folding lines which are arranged in a V-shape and continue from the lower portion of the bottle down to the bottom surface. Above the point of intersection, each folding line branches into two bead-type folding lines which are arranged in a V-shape and extend in the upper portion of the bottle up to the top surface. When the outer surface is folded flat between the folding lines to form a two-ply layer, the upper portion an the lower portion can be folded flat simultaneously on the principle of a folding bottom, as with paper bags.

  • Patent number: 5255851
Abstract: Fitted into the neck (14) of a container (16) is a securing part (12), in the central opening (20) of which there is located the mixer part (26) with mixing chambers (38, 40), covered over by a screen-like refining element (48). Arranged on the refining element (48) is a disk-like valve body (58), which interacts with a ring-like valve seat (60). For discharging foam, the actuating element (70) is pressed down, until the stop (78) bears against the counter-stop (78'). As a result, the valve body (58) reaches the open position, with simultaneous bending of the refining element (48), and air is forced through the air passages (32) and liquid is forced through the liquid passage (34) into the mixing chambers (38, 40) by virtue of the positive pressure in the container (16). The foam formed there is refined upon flowing through the refining element (48).

  • Patent number: 5249715
Abstract: The dispensing device serves for discharging a free-flowing medium from a container. An insert arranged in the container neck and filling the clear cross-section of the latter has a design suitable for discharging the free-flowing medium. The insert resting on the container neck is held firm by a catch having a bead on the container neck and a groove on the insert. In the case of a container intended for refilling, this catch can be overcome and the insert can be pulled out from the container neck by a cam projecting radially on the inside of the screw cap and engaging behind the end flange. If reuse of the container is to be ruled out, the cam on the cap is absent. In the case of a modified embodiment, the bead extending into the groove and the groove itself are dimensioned to be of different sizes in the radial direction. If the bead is dimensioned to be larger, the catch cannot be overcome.

  • Patent number: 5048750
Abstract: A device for producing and dispensing foam from a foamable liquid stored in a container is arranged on a connecting piece of the container by means of a mounting section. The mounting section is covered by a cap which can be displaced from an open to a closed position. A mixer section is arranged in an axial opening in the mounting section. A pervious mixing element having air and liquid passages is firmly held in the mixer section. The mounting section is constructed as a closure element which makes sealing contact with the end face (16) of the connecting piece and is mounted detachably on the outside wall of the connecting piece. The cap covers the mounting section.
