  • Patent number: 9696284
Abstract: Described are extraction columns and systems that include extraction columns. The extraction column includes a column body that has a reservoir portion, an extraction media portion, and a collar portion. The reservoir portion includes an inlet and a reservoir. The extraction media portion includes an elongated sleeve having an inner surface defining a cavity. The extraction media portion has an inlet end in fluid communication with the reservoir and an outlet end. An extraction medium is disposed in the cavity of the elongated sleeve. The collar portion extends axially in a common direction with the elongated sleeve. The collar portion has a terminal end which is spaced apart from the outlet end of the elongated sleeve and which extends axially at least to a plane defined by the outlet end of the elongated sleeve.

  • Patent number: 8641968
Abstract: A chemical analyzer, a method for sample-based analysis, a device for handling cuvette assemblies including a rotatable incubator with at least one curved opening for receiving a new cuvette assembly, an analyzer arranged around the incubator for analyzing contents of the new cuvette assembly, and a loading device adapted to carry the new cuvette assembly while initially being aligned in a straight manner before being loaded. The loading device includes a feed funnel having a first end for receiving the new cuvette assembly initially aligned in the straight manner into the feed funnel, and a second end for feeding the new cuvette assembly into the at least one curved opening, the second end having a curvature which corresponds to the curvature of the curved opening, the second end for bending the initially straight new cuvette assembly and fitting the new cuvette assembly into the at least one curved opening.

  • Publication number: 20080135741
Abstract: The present invention relates to photometers wherein light signals on different wavelengths are directed to samples and a light scattered from or penetrated through the sample is measured with a photodetector. Method provides a required filtered light signal for a photometer (4). The method comprises providing a source of white light by a pulsed flash light source (7) and filtering the light signal for providing signals on different wavelengths by using multiple filters (6) arranged on a perimeter of a rotary filter disk (5). At least one filtered light signal is led to at least one photometer (4). The filter disk (5) Is rotated continuously for passing successive filters (6) over the path of light from the flash light source (7) to the photometer (4) and the flash light source (7) is triggered when a filter (6) providing the required wavelength of light is on the path of light from the flash light source (7) to the photometer (4).
