    Abstract: A rock anchor includes an elongate element. A transverse dimension of a portion of the elongate element is enlarged. The transverse dimension is reducible on the application of a suitable force applied to the enlarged portion. The invention extends to a tensioning device for use with the rock anchor and to a yielding anchor assembly which includes the rock anchor and the tensioning device.
