  • Publication number: 20230388261
Abstract: Systems and method for determining a topic cohesion measurement between a content item and a hyperlinked landing page are presented. In one embodiment, a plurality of content item signals is generated for the content item and a corresponding plurality of signals are generated for the hyperlinked landing page. An analysis of the corresponding signals is conducted to determine a measurement of topic cohesion, a topic cohesion score, between the content item and the hyperlinked landing page. A cohesion predictor model is trained to generate the predictive topic cohesion score between an input content item and a hyperlinked landing page. Upon a determination that the topic cohesion score is less than a predetermined threshold, remedial actions are taken regarding the hyperlink of the content item. Alternatively, positive actions may be carried out, including promoting the content item to others, associating advertisements with the content item, and the like.

  • Patent number: 9278289
Abstract: Various embodiments relating to validating a user's entitlement to play a game are provided. In one embodiment, a request for a user to play a game is received at a validation service. The request may include an obfuscate-encoded bundle including a signed user ID identifying the user, a signed hardware ID of a computing machine on which the game is requested to be played, and a signed receipt. The obfuscate-encoded bundle may be decoded and the request may be validated according to a plurality of security checks including determining that one or both of the signed hardware ID or the signed user ID respectively match a hardware ID and/or a user ID included in the signed receipt. If the request to play the game is valid, an authentication token may be sent to the computing machine that allows the user to play the game on the computing machine.

  • Patent number: 9120020
Abstract: Embodiments that relate to systems and methods for grouping players into a multiplayer game session are provided. In one embodiment, a first match request for a multiplayer game session is received and includes one or more requested player attributes. A plurality of other match requests are received, with one being a second match request including one or more requested player attributes. The first and second match requests are matched based on the requested player attributes. A notification of the match is sent to a client device of the first requesting player, with the notification configured to be received while the client device runs a user session different from the multiplayer game session. The notification includes a selectable element configured to instantiate the multiplayer game session on the client device in place of a user session when the selectable element is selected.

  • Publication number: 20140041054
Abstract: A method for verifying a user's access to a content media item includes discovering at least one content item stored on a storage medium associated with a client device. A fingerprint of a selected portion of the media content item is obtained. The selected portion is a portion less than an entirety of the media content item. The fingerprint is communicated to an online service. Access to an online copy of the media content item is received if the fingerprint matches a known fingerprint of a media content item available to the online service.
