  • Patent number: 4951993
Abstract: A reversibly expandable vehicle cover is a generally rectangular cover body which is folded along transverse folding scores into an accordion pleated hinged series of panels terminating in front and end panels. Extending slidably through receiving openings in the panels and extending beyond the front and rear end panels are adjustable length elastomeric guide cords that fasten at the front and rear ends of the cover body with end panel cords that are themselves fastened by one end to the front and rear end panels of the cover body. Upon extending the cover over the vehicle, the cover is secured to the front and rear ends of the vehicle by couplers associated with the termini of the cords.
