  • Patent number: 11898484
Abstract: A mixing subassembly for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine for mixing exhaust gas, which is discharged by an internal combustion engine, with reactant includes a mixing path which extends in the direction of a mixing path longitudinal axis and which has an upstream mixing path inflow region for receiving exhaust gas and/or reactant in the mixing path. The mixing path includes a core flow channel, through which a first exhaust gas partial flow flows, and a bypass flow channel, through which a second exhaust gas partial flow flows. At least one flow blocking element reduces a flow cross section of the bypass flow channel and is arranged in the bypass flow channel.

  • Patent number: 11441470
Abstract: An internal combustion engine exhaust system mixer device includes a bottom element (12) includes a downstream rear side (22) and a front side (44). The bottom element has a reactant introduction opening (31), open to a reactant receiving volume (46), and expands therefrom radially from the reactant introduction opening toward the front side. Exhaust gas passage ducts (58), arranged following one another in the circumferential direction about the opening axis (A), open to the reactant receiving volume. A swirl generation element (20) is connected to the bottom element and encloses the opening axis. A mixing volume (64) adjoins the reactant receiving volume in the direction of the opening axis and is formed in the swirl generation element. A plurality of exhaust gas passage openings (66), following one another in the circumferential direction, about the opening axis are provided in the swirl generation element.

  • Patent number: 11268432
Abstract: An internal combustion engine exhaust system includes an exhaust gas treatment unit carried at a carrier. The carrier has a receiving opening (20), receiving the treatment unit, with a first sealing surface (28) enclosing the opening. The exhaust gas treatment unit has a second sealing surface (42), enclosing a treatment unit longitudinal axis, located opposite the first sealing surface. The exhaust gas treatment unit has a third sealing surface (44), enclosing the treatment unit longitudinal axis. A closing element (48), fixable with the exhaust gas treatment unit to the carrier, has a fourth sealing surface (50), located opposite the third sealing surface. A first sealing element (52) is arranged between the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface. A second sealing element (54) is arranged between the third sealing surface and the fourth sealing surface. The first sealing element and the second sealing element are of identical configuration.
