Patent number: 10974422Abstract: A molding assembly for manufacturing a syringe barrel, each syringe barrel provided with a cannula and having a cylindrical portion and a hub portion to which the cannula is fastened. A mold unit is provided having a first mold portion, a second mold portion axially movable relative to the first mold portion between an open position and a closed position, and a core situated in the mold cavity; and a clip unit for the cannula movable between an open position in which a cannula can be loaded in a proximal axial end of the clip, and a closed position. The clip unit is axially movable so as to arrange a cannula in the mold cavity, the movement of the clip being independent of the axial movement of the first and second mold portions between the open and closed positions of the mold unit.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2019Date of Patent: April 13, 2021Assignee: APTAR FRANCE SASInventors: Thierry Hubert, Vincent Hebert, Olivier His

Patent number: 8359754Abstract: A utility tool comprising a body having a first end and a second end positioned on opposite ends of the body; a removable blade cartridge positioned within the body, wherein a knife blade within the removable blade cartridge is configured to slidably extend out from the first end; as well as a first tool and a second tool configured to be selectively coupled to each other or one of either the first end and second end of the body. The utility tool includes a knife switch coupled to the knife blade, the knife blade moves from the retracted position to the extended position only when the blade cartridge is engaged within the body. The utility tool having a spring mechanism for biasing the knife blade to the retracted position and a leaf member for engaging and disengaging the blade cartridge from the blade cartridge bay by a snap fit.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2004Date of Patent: January 29, 2013Assignee: Wagic Inc.Inventors: Ronald L. Patent number: 8205851Abstract: A self-adjusting apparatus is provided for clamping and supporting a substantially cylindrical element. When an element is placed in the self-adjusting apparatus, the element is supported at about 90° from the surface on which the apparatus sits. This is achieved with an integrated clamping mechanism and, preferably, with a self-centering mechanism comprising flexure springs and a retaining-center pin. The clamping mechanism applies a substantially radial force on the element that is directly proportional to the substantially cylindrical element's weight, and can be less than the weight of the element, preventing damage to the element. The present invention can include a liquid management system for when the apparatus supports a tree trunk. The liquid management system can include a reservoir, a funnel for filling the reservoir, a capillary wick and mat that provides water to the tree even when it is above the level of water in the reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2007Date of Patent: June 26, 2012Inventor: Vincent Hebert
