Patent number: 12006140Abstract: A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, an energy storage device, a vehicle body, an electric power take-off system, and a hydraulic component. The energy storage device is supported by the chassis and is configured to provide electrical power to a prime mover. Activation of the prime mover selectively drives the refuse vehicle. The vehicle body is supported by the chassis, and includes an on-board receptacle for storing refuse therein. The electric power take-off system is positioned on the vehicle body, and includes an electric motor configured to drive a hydraulic pump to convert electrical power received from the energy storage device into hydraulic power. An amount of electrical power at least one of received by and provided to the electric motor is limited by a controller to control an output characteristic of the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic component is in fluid communication with the hydraulic pump and configured to operate using hydraulic power from the electric power take-off system.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 2023Date of Patent: June 11, 2024Assignee: Oshkosh CorporationInventors: Jeffrey Koga, Emily Davis, Jerrod Kappers, Vince Schad, Robert S. Publication number: 20230225990Abstract: Dimethyl sulfone may be used in the treatment of heat stress in poultry by oral administration, wherein the dimethyl sulfone is administered to chronically heat stressed poultry. The poultry may be exposed to a temperature of more than 27° C., or at least 30° C., optionally for at least 5 hours a day. The poultry may be exposed to a relative air humidity of at least 40% on average. The dimethyl sulfone is administered to poultry in a starter, grower, and/or finisher phase.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2021Publication date: July 20, 2023Applicant: Evonik Operations GmbHInventors: Vincent HESS, Juliano Cesar DE PAULA DORIGAM, Joris MICHIELS

Publication number: 20160327418Abstract: Disclosed is a method for adjusting a sensor signal and a corresponding sensor system comprising a sensor for providing a sensor signal representative of a measure other than temperature, dynamic components of the sensor signal being dependent on temperature. In addition there is provided a temperature sensor for measuring the temperature. Dynamic components in the sensor signal are adjusted subject to the temperature sensed, and a compensated sensor signal is supplied. Such sensor system helps compensating for long response times of sensors.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 13, 2016Publication date: November 10, 2016Inventors: Markus GRAF, Vincent HESS, Dominik NIEDERBERGER
