    Abstract: In an example embodiment, an indication is received via a user interface in a first mobile device to begin recording live video on the first mobile device. Then the recording of live video is begun by the first mobile device in response to the receiving of the indication. The live video is displayed in the user interface as it is being recorded. A gesture by a user of the first mobile device is detected. In response to the detection of the gesture, the broadcasting of the live video as it is being recorded to a plurality of mobile devices other than the first mobile device is begun. Then, in the user interface along with the live video, identifications of a plurality of users corresponding to the plurality of mobile device other than the first mobile device to which the live video is being broadcast are displayed.

    Abstract: The invention is an illumination system for a logo (20) on the front of an electronic device (1) such as a set top box. The logo (20) is part of a light pipe (23) and the logo (20) is illuminated by projecting light on the front surface (24) of the light pipe (23). The front surface (24) is textured or tinted to evenly distribute the light to a viewer. The light source (11) for illuminating the logo (20) is positioned at an entrance end of the light pipe (23) as shown in the figure. The shape of the light pipe (23) is substantially uniform throughout the length of the light pipe (23) and the shape is substantially the shape of the logo (20). The light pipe (23) can have a cut away region near the front surface to create localized lighting contrasts.

    Abstract: The invention provides a technique for assigning a server to manage resources. The server identifies a capacity value that represents a maximum number of resources that the server can simultaneously manage, and parses data included in a tracker directory to identify the resources that have the fewest number of servers assigned to manage them. Next, based on the capacity value, the server registers to manage the identified resources, where each registration to manage an identified resource results in the server actively managing the resource when no other server is registered to manage the resource, or acting as a backup manager to the resource when at least one other server is registered to manage the resource, and the tracker directory is updated accordingly. Finally, the server, for each registration that results in actively managing a resource, configures itself to process client device requests that are directed to utilizing the resource.

A change in location of the first mobile device is detected, and the score of each of the potential user groups is regenerated based on the changed location, causing a determination that the first user should be removed from the first user group. The first user is maintained as a member of the first user group despite the determination that the first user should be removed based on the pinning.
