Abstract: A system for visually enhancing a chart of one or more data sets with semantic information, the data points in the data sets being values of one or more measures. The system includes a data model that specifies the one or more measures and includes measure annotations for the one or more measures. The measure annotations include semantic information of the measures. The system further includes a processor that executes instructions stored in the memory to implement a chart component. The chart component renders data points of the one or more data sets in a chart, and visually enhances the chart with semantic information of the one or more measures retrieved from the data model.

An application developer determines the extent to which the chart control is implemented for each chart. Application developers implement chart control libraries so that a user of an application having a chart that references the chart control library can experience at least the following features, irrelevant of chart size, screen size, and screen type: responsive tooltip, zoom in, zoom out, responsive zoom slider, action on selection and selection bar, thumbnail mode, responsive toolbar, responsive legend, responsive format, responsive display or an axis, and responsive display of horizontal bars.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for generating and adjusting graphs. An embodiment operates by a computer implemented method that includes evaluating, by at least one processor, data to be displayed on a chart, one or more parameters associated with the chart, and one or more parameters associated with a device on which the chart is to be displayed. The method further includes determining a design for the chart based on the evaluating. The design of the chart includes at least one of a number of data points on the chart, a number of focus points on the chart, a size of the chart, a color of the data points, a color of the focus points, an area associated with the chart, and a color of the area. The method further includes generating the chart based on the determined design and graphically displaying the chart.
