  • Patent number: 11032337
Abstract: A system and method for providing context to collaborative media. Such a system may comprise associating timestamps with media as entered by one or more users. When a user types, or otherwise inputs media (text, images, video, audio, files, etc.), such media may be associated with a project, as well as provided an associated timestamp. Such associations between media and timestamps may be stored in a database. When such media comprises text, various aspects of the system may provide for associating each character with a timestamp. When one or more users views the project, an application may cause all media to be displayed to the viewing user. The viewing user may click, highlight, or otherwise select any of the media such that only media relevant to the selected media (e.g. captured within 1 s, 2 s, 5 s, etc.) is displayed in a related media panel.

  • Patent number: 9619933
Abstract: A method for providing a model file to a user. The user acquires a plurality of images using a device, such as a smart phone, with at least a monocular image capture device. The plurality of images are then processed to provide the user with a model file. The model file is created by a minimization of an energy which is done using a primal-dual hybrid gradient. The model file may be used in a printer capable of printing in three dimensions. The user is either charged a fee for uploading the plurality of images, downloading the model file, or both.

  • Publication number: 20170090474
Abstract: A drone safety mechanism that prevents autonomously controlled or human-in-the-loop drones from interfering with aircraft. A signal is generated at the center of an area to be maintained free of drone activity. The signal decays with distance from the source of the signal. A sensor onboard the drone is able to measure the signal itself, as well as the strength of the signal. When the signal strength passes above some threshold level, or the signal provides some other message, an intention is sent to the drone that forces the drone to stop and/or descend. The signal may be a preexisting signal, such as an electromagnetic signal emitted from a radar system atop an air traffic control tower. To prevent drones interfering with aircraft in flight, the signal may be emitted from the aircraft itself.

  • Publication number: 20160171546
Abstract: A system for providing a user with situational information. A user state is defined by information specific to a user, such as location and physiological state of the user, (e.g. fatigue). A travel state is defined by information regarding a transportation service, for example delayed or on time. A geo-location state is determined by the user's location. Situational information is displayed to the user based on the user state, the travel state, and any relevant merchants that are nearby the user. This may include information about the transportation, merchants, or advertisements. The user state may also include sensor data from at least one wearable sensor located on the user. The user state may be aggregated from multiple users to determine congestion, predict emergency situations, and provide alternative routes.
