  • Patent number: 10634646
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for molecular and/or atomic level detection of elements forming contraband such as concealed explosives, drugs, smuggled goods, etc., through the use of an acoustic frequency detector having a crystalline transducer module and elemental and mass comparator. The present invention can be employed in a non-destructive manner for the mobile and stationary inspection of objects such as luggage, persons, containers, etc., through a combination of computer-aided techniques and algorithms combined with a crystalline and oil enhanced transducer that, upon return of a system-generated acoustic signal, are used to screen and confirm explosive threats and/or other contraband.

  • Publication number: 20090198641
Abstract: A method of predicting the occurrence of crime is provided, where information relating to prior transactions is provided, and where each transaction is a past incident where law enforcement units were involved. A set of analysis parameters relating to details associated with the incident may be selected and conditions associated with respective analysis parameters are selected. Further, at least one pivot variable may be selected, each pivot variable corresponding to one or more analysis parameters, and a frequency of the occurrence of the past incidents in relation to the pivot variables may be computed. Thus, a probability of a future incident occurring may be determined based on existence of a condition related to the pivot variable.

  • Publication number: 20030028536
Abstract: A system and method for dispatching emergency services personnel and equipment are provided. The system includes a central server, a dispatcher terminal and a plurality of mobile data terminals (MDTs) associated with the emergency services personnel and equipment. The central server processes incoming calls for emergency services and outgoing messages from the dispatcher terminal. Based upon the dispatching message for the incoming call, the central server automatically queries a plurality of databases in accordance with a predetermined set of rules for information relevant to the emergency and the dispatched personnel and equipment. Based upon the information received, the central server automatically transmits appropriate messages and warnings to the MDTs traveling to the site of the emergency and queries the databases further using further predetermined rules. Additional messages and warnings are transmitted to the MDTs based upon the further information received.
