    Abstract: Disclosed is a process that can be used to produce surface covering such as mulch. The process comprises combining at least one ethylene copolymer, at least one filler, at least one cellulosic material, and optionally a decoupler, a plasticizer, a coloring agent, or combinations of two or more thereof to produce a mixture; converting the mixture into a sheet or slab; and contacting the sheet or slab between a set of engraved nip rolls to produce shredded article including mulch.
