  • Publication number: 20180257357
Abstract: Membraneless laminator group (10) for making laminated panels comprising: one sealed lamination chamber (11) comprising a heated support and abutment base (12) for at least one panel; a movable cover (13) for opening and closing the chamber (11); a heated rigid plane (15) movable inside the chamber between a raised position spaced from the panel and a lowered position it presses the panel; wherein the surface of the plane (15) facing the panel is equipped with a thermal cover arranged loosely between the plane and the panel. When the plane (15) is in the raised position, the thermal cover engages the panel so as to transfer heat without acting by compression. When the plane is in the lowered position the thermal cover is in compressed configuration so that the compression is transferred against the panel and possible local thickness variations of the panel are compensated.

  • Patent number: 5336288
Abstract: An apparatus and a process are disclosed for manufacturing glass sheets of a complex form for vehicles. The apparatus includes a roller heating oven, a supporting air bed in a shaping section, a shaping ring for conveying the sheet of glass in a vertical direction toward an upper shaping mold, and a ring for conveying the sheet of glass horizontally toward a tempering station. The air bed is formed with frustoconical nozzles of such a size as to enable the shaping ring to pass through them so as to be movable to a position beneath its floating position.

  • Patent number: 5272311
Abstract: A process and apparatus for cutting sheets of plastic material takes place upon a mobile support, such as a pallet. The pallets is centered for the cutting of the material and for the removal thereof in an assembly zone integral with a production line in which the materials of laminate glass are assembled. The pallet passes along a closed circuitous route, preferably in the presence of a plurality of similar pallets.

  • Patent number: 5242528
Abstract: An apparatus, formed by a plurality of devices, permits the automatic glueing of metal bases onto glass windscreens for automobiles. The apparatus is formed by a device for loading the windscreen, a centering device, a device for the hot glueing of a base, and devices for the automatic feeding of the bases. Devices for the unloading of the windscreen and for the supply of bases also form a part of the same apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4959117
Abstract: An apparatus for pressing laminated composites formed of two glass layers and one interposed thin plastic layer presses the glass/plastic composite while the glass/plastic composite is in a vertical position. A horizontal conveyor delivers the composite to the apparatus, and a tipping device places the composite in a vertical position. A suction cup unit, which is rotatably mounted on a supporting shaft, receives the composite from the tipping device. A movable carriage moves the supporting shaft, suction cup unit, and composite to a pair of pressing rolls. The pressing rolls receive the composite therebetween and press the composite layers together. Another rotatably mounted suction cup unit removes the composite from the pressing rolls and delivers the composite to another conveyer. The arrangement allows highly curved glass/plastic composites to be pressed with no risk of breaking the glass and without requiring manual intervention.
