The composition is effective at reducing or eliminating one or more pathogens from a contact surface and preventing recolonization for an interval of at least one hour in certain applications. In certain applications and embodiments, the pathogen eliminated can be one of at least viruses, bacteria, fungi and spores including but not limited to SARS-CoV-2.
