  • Publication number: 20190299859
Abstract: A vehicular surround vision system includes a plurality of vehicle cameras disposed at a vehicle and having respective fields of view exterior the vehicle, a trailer camera disposed at a rear of a trailer and having a field of view rearward of the trailer, and a display device in the vehicle. An electronic control unit (ECU) receives image data captured by the plurality of vehicle cameras. The display device displays surround view images responsive to the ECU. With the trailer hitched to the vehicle, the ECU receives image data captured by the trailer camera and the display device displays surround view images responsive to the ECU, with the displayed surround view images derived from image data captured by the trailer camera and at least some of the vehicle cameras.

  • Publication number: 20190230323
Abstract: A vehicular vision system and method includes a camera disposed at a vehicle and having a field of view interior or exterior of the vehicle. The camera is operable to wirelessly transmit image data captured by the camera. A display is disposed in the vehicle and is operable to display video images derived from image data captured by the camera and wirelessly transmitted by the camera. When operating in a setup mode, the camera wirelessly communicates with a portable device that configures the camera (i) for connection to a vehicular Wi-Fi hotspot of the vehicle and (ii) for operation of the camera with a control of the vehicle, whereby the display displays video images derived from the captured image data received at the control.

  • Publication number: 20190135196
Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a plurality of cameras disposed at a vehicle and having respective exterior fields of view. Each camera includes an image sensor and a microcontroller having memory, and each camera is in communication with a vehicle controller. Image data captured by the image sensor of each camera is communicated to the vehicle controller. The vehicle controller communicates control data to each camera, and the communicated control data is stored in memory of each camera. With the communicated control data stored in the memory of each camera, the vehicle controller communicates a trigger signal to each camera during operation of the vehicle and vision system. Responsive to the communicated trigger signal, the microcontroller of each camera loads parameters of the control data stored in the respective memory into the respective image sensor so that the parameters of the image sensors of all of the cameras are synchronized.

  • Publication number: 20180109755
Abstract: A vision system of a vehicle includes a camera disposed at a vehicle and having a field of view exterior of the vehicle. The camera captures image data and outputs a low voltage differential signal (LVDS). The system includes an LVDS repeater that receives the LVDS signal output by the camera and outputs at least two LVDS outputs to respective receivers. Each of the at least two LVDS outputs is representative of the LVDS signal output by the camera. The receivers include a receiver of respective ones of at least two devices selected from the group consisting of (i) a vehicle head unit, (ii) a display device, (iii) an electronic control unit of the vehicle and (iv) an image processor for a driver assistance function.

  • Publication number: 20170223306
Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle includes at least one camera disposed at a vehicle and having an image sensor operable to capture image data. A display is operable to display video images for viewing by a driver of the vehicle during normal operation of the vehicle. A first system on chip (SoC) receives captured image data and processes the received captured image data for machine vision. The first SoC, responsive to image processing of the received captured image data, generates an output for a driver assistance system of the vehicle. A second system on chip (SoC) receives captured image data and communicates the image data to the display.
