Abstract: A masking device for cropping photographs which are viewed on a view screen of a photographic printer. The masking device allowing the operator of the photographic printer to see exactly what portion of a photograph is being cropped prior to the printing of the photograph. The mask further providing a key for signaling the electronic system of the printer how much paper should be advanced for the cropped photograph and correcting the exposure setting of the printer.

Abstract: A self-threading take-up magazine for receiving exposed photographic print paper therein. The take-up magazine automatically rolling up the print paper on a magazine core as prints are taken on a photographic printer.

Abstract: In a system for transporting photographic film through a series of processing tanks having a plurality of successive pairs of driven rollers. One of the rollers of each pair has a resilient stocking covering which scrubs the emulsion side of the film.

Abstract: An elongated flexible leader for inserting into a film processor and guiding a roll of undeveloped film therethrough. The leader is attached to the film by inserting a tongue which is part of the leader through an aperture in one end of the film.

Abstract: A liquid mixing device for mixing liquids in a mixing tank. The device providing means for mixing liquids such as liquid chemicals that are generally difficult to mix and mixing these chemicals together to form a homogeneous solution. The device is adapted for skimming an unmixed liquid on top of the liquid level with a heavier liquid at the bottom of the mixing tank. Also the device will mix an unmixed liquid at various levels in the mixing tank with a heavier liquid at the bottom of the tank.

Abstract: A method and a processor having infrared sensed chemical replenishing system for processing photosensitive material. The processor includes a replenishing circuitry having a power supply; a pulsed infrared sensor electrically connected to the power supply for measuring the width of photosensitive materials; a pulse generator circuit for generating a pulse width and repetition rate to the infrared sensor means; and a summing circuit for producing a summation of all latched input elements transmitted from the sensor. The replenishing circuit also includes a replenishment calibration timing circuit for producing a replenishment command signal following a successive time interval equal to the time required for the processor drive to turn one revolution, and a control circuitry for controlling the chemical flow of the replenishment system.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for developing both black and white and color photographic film using a spirally wound tube. Each convolution of the tube is adapted to contain a selected film treating fluid agent.The film to be photographically processed is attached to a carrier having a magnetic element mounted thereon. The carrier with the trailing film is inserted into the spirally wound tube. A conveyor belt having magnets attached thereto is disposed adjacent the inner circumference of the outer surface of the convolutions of the tube. The film is processed by the carrier being magnetically guided by the magnet on the conveyor belt through the sequence of the different film treating fluid agents in the convolutions of the tube.
