  • Publication number: 20150231514
Abstract: The ferris wheel according to the present invention includes a rotating structure with radial members, passenger units arranged in groups where the circumferential distances between the groups exceeds the distance between the passenger units within the groups, a drive, and a station. The radial members are V-shaped in the plane normal to the plane of rotation of the rotating structure and are sequentially connected to one another by means of flexible elements. Branches of the radial members are interconnected by flexible or rigid elements. The radial members feature thrust rollers intended to resist lateral loads and to interact with arc-shaped thrusts mounted on trusses that are secured on supports. The trusses feature a suspended station platform.
