  • Patent number: 9718120
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a composite component (12). At least one shaft (2) and at least one sintered part (1), preferably in the form of a rotor or a cam, are assembled into the composite component. In order to assemble the composite component, at least the following steps are carried out: —introducing the shaft (2) into a continuous bore (3) of the sintered part (1) and —calibrating the sintered part (1) at least by means of a calibrating die (4), furthermore preferably with the simultaneous application of an axial force onto the sintered part (1) by means of at least one upper punch (5) and at least one lower punch (7), wherein the shaft (2) can be found in the bore (3) of the sintered part (1) at least temporarily during the calibration process. The invention further relates to a composite component (12).

  • Publication number: 20140187698
Abstract: A binder mixture with an expanded application range has at least one polymer compound A, selected from a group comprising polyolefins, in a range of approximately 10 wt. % to approximately 60 wt. % of the total quantity of binder mixture, with a first softening range and a first melt viscosity; at least one polymer compound B in a quantity of approximately 10 wt. % to approximately 65 wt. % of the total quantity of binder mixture, with a second softening range and a second melt viscosity; and at least one non-polymer compound C in a quantity of approximately 10 wt. % to approximately 65 wt. % of the total quantity of binder mixture. The first and second softening ranges and melt viscosities have certain characteristics and compound C can be dissolved in certain solvents within a certain temperature range.

  • Publication number: 20110176952
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to devise a binder that is an alternative to prior art binders for producing sintered molded articles. Said aim is achieved by a binder comprising a first substance that has a first melting point and a first vapor pressure at 80° C. and a second substance that has a second melting point and a second vapor pressure at 80° C., the maximum melting point of the first and second substance amounting to about 150° C., and the minimum vapor pressure of the first and second substance amounting to about 5 torr (667 Pa) at 80° C.

  • Publication number: 20070259199
Abstract: Certain preferred embodiments of the present invention provide an oil pump which is both light as well as compact. Accordingly, certain presently preferred embodiments disclose an oil pump having a housing comprising aluminum, and at least one mobile molded part therein. The mobile molded part being at least partially made from a sinterable composition comprising at least one austenitic iron-based alloy powder. The mobile molded part also has a heat expansion coefficient, which amounts to at least 60% of the heat expansion coefficient for the oil pump housing.
