  • Publication number: 20070007139
Abstract: An electrode arrangement for a gel electrophoresis device, the electrode arrangement comprising a first electrode member adapted to provide an electrical contact with at least two gel strips individually so that each electrical signal of the at least two gel strips is controllable and/or monitorable separately.

  • Patent number: 6660991
Abstract: Low intensity light is incident upon a photodiode whose output is coupled to an integrator. The output of the integrator is coupled to an input of an A/D converter, whose output is coupled to a microprocessor, whose output is coupled to a filter. A second output of the microprocessor is coupled to a gate electrode of a FET to provide a reset signal to the FET to reset the integrator. The microprocessor compares the digital samples of the integrated signal from the A/D converter and, firstly, generates the reset signal if a sample is beyond a set limit, and, secondly, calculates delta values between adjacent samples and interpolates the delta values for the reset periods so as to provide a continuous data stream which can be filtered by a filter matched to the form of the original signal.

  • Publication number: 20030025069
Abstract: When low intensity light (4) is incident upon a photodiode (2), the output from the photodiode (2) is coupled to an integrator formed by an operational amplifier (7), a capacitor (8) and a FET coupled in parallel in a feedback path between an output (9) of the operational amplifier (7) and its negative input (5). The output (9) of the operational amplifier (7) is coupled to an input of an A/D converter (21), whose output is coupled to a microprocessor (22), whose output is coupled to a filter (23). A second output of the microprocessor (22) is coupled to a gate electrode of FET 10 to provide a reset signal to the FET 10 to reset the integrator.

  • Patent number: 6504607
Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing a sample are disclosed. The system may include a light source operable to transmit light onto the sample, a detector operable to detect intensity of the light emitted from the sample, and a power modulator. The power modulator modulates the light source power such that light is emitted from the light source in more than one mode to reduce changes in the emitted light due to temperature changes in the light source.

Date of Patent: January 7, 2003
Assignees: Caliper Technologies, Corp., Agilent Technologies Inc.

  • Patent number: 6366448
Abstract: The disclosed HV supply device has a first housing part (1) that serves as an outside cover. In addition, a second housing part (6) forming two sides is provided. On the first side is the high-voltage supply part (8), and on the second side is the low-voltage supply part (9) which is physically or spatially separated from the high-voltage supply part (8). The first side of the second housing part (6) has a first mounting rack (14) to receive electrical or electronic low-voltage (16) and high-voltage components (17), and the second side has a second mounting rack (13) to receive electrical or electronic low-voltage components (15), whereby the two mounting racks (13, 14) are connected by an electrical connecting line (11, 12) penetrating the second housing part (6). The second (6) and the first housing part (1) are designed so that the high-voltage supply part (8) is enclosed on all sides in an area within one of the two housing parts after the two housing parts (1, 6) are joined.
