Publication number: 20230050516Abstract: The quality of an automotive sun shade is frequently determined by the reflective paint used in the manufacturing of the sun shade. This invention discloses a method of polishing reflective metallic paint after its application onto the material of automotive sun shades leading to an improvement in the reflective potential of the surface of the paint. The outcome is a measureable improvement in product performance.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 11, 2021Publication date: February 16, 2023Inventor: Volker Schafer

Patent number: 5092655Abstract: The seat cushion of a vehicle seat, especially of an air passenger seat, lies on a cushion support that is supported by parts of the seat frame. This cushion support lies lower in the area which supports the sitting part of the seat than in the area situated in front of this. The cushion support is designed as a shell (6), which forms a depression (13,14) in the region which supports the sitting part of the seat, said depression being matched to the shape of the human seat.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 1990Date of Patent: March 3, 1992Assignee: Keiper Recaro GmbH & Co.Inventors: Elmar Deegener, Frank Starke, Volker Schafer

Patent number: 5090384Abstract: A device for electronically controlling adjusting devices in an internal combustion engine in which the adjusting devices can be controlled, by comparing differentiated engine speed signals with predetermined threshold values in such a way that shuddering oscillations of the internal combustion engine are counteracted. The engine speed variable (n) is derived by means of a sensor (10) which provides a plurality of pulses per revolution of the engine crankshaft or camshaft. A first divider (14) divides the pulses from the sensor (10) by a fixed ratio. The output of the divider (14) is further divided in a divider arrangement which provides different divider ratios in dependence upon engine speed, the divider ratios being chosen so that measurement at engine speed is made over a complete combustion period of the engine, or a multiple thereof.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 1990Date of Patent: February 25, 1992Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Frank Ahlborn, Volker Schafer, Sieber Albrecht

Patent number: 4993389Abstract: A device for the electronically controlled influencing of actuating devices of an internal combustion engine is proposed in which actuating devices can be influenced by comparing differentiated sensor signals with predeterminable threshold values. The actuating devices are directly accessed without a detour via any regulating devices. The system corresponding to the method thus becomes very simple and inexpensive in its construction. Control-loop-related oscillations are avoided by the direct influencing of the actuating device.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1989Date of Patent: February 19, 1991Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Frank Ahlborn, Wolfgang Duhlmeyer, Volker Schafer, Albrecht Sieber, Rainer Buck, Herbert Kaberer, Alf Loffler

Patent number: 4793308Abstract: An emergency control device for a diesel internal combustion engine with electronically controlled fuel proportioning, which enables an optimal emergency driving operation in case of a defect of the transmitter or transmitters for the actual value of fuel volume. In the event of an error, the mechanism determining the desired value of fuel volume during normal operation, and the fuel volume regulating device, are separated from the fuel proportioning device and the latter is controlled by a special emergency driving signal. An error in the transmitters for the actual value of fuel volume is recognized in that this signal does not fall in the allowable area for the actual value of fuel volume. A first signal, which, together with a second signal, gives the emergency driving signal, is formed from the speed and the accelerator position. The second signal consists substantially of the differentiated speed signal.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 1987Date of Patent: December 27, 1988Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Jurgen Brauninger, Wolfgang Duhlmeyer, Gunter Kettenacker, Volker Schafer, Albrecht Sieber, Jurgen Wietelmann
