Abstract: A medical instrument includes a first hand lever which has a manually actuated grip portion at its proximal end, a work portion for gripping, clamping or cutting an object at its distal end, and, lying between these, a bearing portion on which a bearing element engages in order to permit pivotability about a rotation axis between the first hand lever and a second hand lever, wherein the second hand lever has a grip portion at its proximal end, a work portion at its distal end, and, lying between these, a guide portion on which the bearing element engages, wherein the guide portion of the second hand lever has on one side a recess for receiving the bearing portion of the first hand lever such that two guide protrusions located distally and proximally of the recess at least partially cover the bearing portion in an operating position.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for dosing products, a predefined amount of which is fed to a package. The dosed amount is defined by opening and closing at least one valve (1). A sleeve-type blocking element (4, 5) is arranged in a housing (3) of said valve (1). By placing said at least one blocking element (4, 5) in a manner that can be controlled or regulated, at least one recess (9, 10) located in the zone of lateral surfaces (7, 8) of the blocking element (4, 5) is disposed in such a way as to create an open or closed position and define a cross-section of an outlet 12). Preferably, the blocking elements (4, 5) are coaxially arranged relative to one another.

Abstract: There is shown and described a pouring element for a package for holding flowable or pourable products, and particularly a cardboard/plastics composite package having a gabletop, said pouring element having a pouring passage, the pouring passage having passage cross-sections of substantially identical areas arranged perpendicularly to its centerline, the outer passage cross-sections of the pouring passage being a product inlet opening and a substantially circular product outlet opening and the product inlet opening having associated with it a flange for connection to the package. To enable improved pouring characteristics to be achieved without having to accept disproportionately large costs and complication in production, provision is made, in the form for application, for the product inlet opening to be of an elongated shape which is not symmetrical in rotation.
