    Abstract: An interface assembly (18) for integrating operation of a private telecommunications system (12) such as a PBX with a wireless intelligent network (14) such as the PCS network operated by Sprint PCS. The interface assembly includes an interface (54) for coupling with the private telecommunications system, an interface (56) for coupling with a component of the wireless intelligent network, and a controller (58) for processing and transferring call routing queries and instructions therebetween. The private telecommunications system interface is operable to receive call routing queries from the private telecommunications system and to deliver call routing instructions to the private telecommunications system. The wireless network interface is operable to deliver call routing queries to the wireless network and to receive call routing instructions from the wireless network.

    Abstract: A method of notifying a user of two or more networks (10, 12) that the user has received a message in a messaging system (28, 58) or that a message has been deleted. The method notifies all phones (30, 54) operated by the user on all of the networks. The method also forwards calls directed to a user to a single messaging system that may reside on any network, regardless which of the user's phones a caller dials. The invention permits a user to be notified of the receipt or deletion of a message at all of the user's phones and provides messaging services on all of a user's phones with a single messaging system.

    Abstract: A system for allowing a telephone subscriber to selectively block incoming calls for selected time periods or during programmed time intervals. A subscriber may pre-program a time interval in minutes, or a time period (start time and end time) for which some or all incoming calls are to be blocked. The subscriber may assign caller numbers or personal identification numbers to one of a plurality of tiers of access. The subscriber may enable the call blocking system for selected access tiers. An emergency access tier may be provided to insure emergency calls are not blocked by the system.
