  • Publication number: 20230337566
Abstract: One or more information maps are obtained by an agricultural work machine. The one or more information maps map one or more agricultural characteristic values at different geographic locations of a field. An in-situ sensor on the agricultural work machine senses an agricultural characteristic as the agricultural work machine moves through the field. A predictive map generator generates a predictive map that predicts a predictive agricultural characteristic at different locations in the field based on a relationship between the values in the one or more information maps and the agricultural characteristic sensed by the in-situ sensor. The predictive map can be output and used in automated machine control.

  • Publication number: 20230326720
Abstract: An apparatus for forming a plasma may include one or more coupling ports to accept a radiofrequency (RF) current. The apparatus may additionally include one or more coupling structures which may include one or more conductive loops to permit the RF current to conduct from at least a first portion of the one or more coupling ports to at least a second port of the one or more coupling ports. The one or more conductive loops may each be configured to exhibit a first value of inductance in the absence of the plasma and to exhibit a second value of inductance in the presence of the plasma. The one or more coupling structures may each include a reactive element, in which each reactive element is coupled to a corresponding one of the one or more conductive loops so as to form a corresponding number of coupling structures. Each RF coupling structure may have a resonant frequency that increases in response to the presence of the plasma.

  • Publication number: 20230320259
Abstract: An information map is obtained by an agricultural system. The information map maps values of a characteristic at different geographic locations in a worksite. An in-situ sensor detects nutrient values as a mobile material application machine operates at the worksite. A predictive map generator generates a predictive map that maps predictive nutrient values at different geographic locations in the worksite based on a relationship between values of the characteristic in the information map and nutrient values detected by the in-situ sensor. • Patent number: 11778945
Abstract: A priori georeferenced vegetative index data is obtained for a worksite, along with field data that is collected by a sensor on a work machine that is performing an operation at the worksite. A predictive model is generated, while the machine is performing the operation, based on the georeferenced vegetative index data and the field data. A model quality metric is generated for the predictive model and is used to determine whether the predictive model is a qualified predicative model. If so, a control system controls a subsystem of the work machine, using the qualified predictive model, and a position of the work machine, to perform the operation.

  • Publication number: 20230283032
Abstract: A compliant mechanism tool for connector termination can be used to seat a rear body portion of a connector against or within a forward housing portion of the connector. Seating the rear body portion causes conductors, which are coupled to the rear body portion, to electrically couple with respective ones of contacts positioned with the forwarding housing. The compliant mechanism tool includes first and second handles that can be subjected to a squeezing motion causing connected first and second arms to propel a ram toward a head portion of the tool. The ram interfaces with the forward housing portion of the connector causing the forward housing to be pushed against the rear body portion causing seating of the rear body portion; motion of the forward housing is limited by a stop within the head portion of the tool.
