  • Patent number: 10072827
Abstract: A lighting fixture can be configured to display reduced visibility of seams and hardware when illuminated. At the junction site between lighting modules of a modular lighting assembly, support hardware can be positioned within corresponding recesses in the respective coupling ends of the connected lighting modules. An outer element can also be wrapped around the respective outer edges of the coupling ends and partially into the junction site adjacent to the support hardware. Connective seams between the wrapped outer edges and support hardware at the junction between lighting modules can thus be de-emphasized when adjacent lighting elements are activated. Multiple, different shaped modules can be combined to create light fixtures of different shapes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 14, 2014
Date of Patent: September 11, 2018
    Assignee: 3Form, LLC
Inventors: W. Bruce Clark, Caleb L. Patterson
  • Patent number: 9644820
Abstract: Implementations of the present invention relate to systems, methods, and apparatus for providing illumination. Particularly, at least one implementation includes a light-weight lighting fixture that can enclose one or more lighting elements and can provide a desired illumination. Furthermore, the light-weight lighting fixture can have no visible hardware connecting various components and/or portions thereof.
