  • Publication number: 20240044223
Abstract: A cementing operation cements casing in a borehole. A bottom plug pumped down the casing ahead of cement lands at a float valve. Circulation of the cement is established through the bottom plug to a shoe track downhole from the float valve. A top plug pumped down the casing behind the cement lands on the bottom plug. An internal component of the float valve is released by building-up pressure in the casing behind the internal component up to a release threshold. The internal component can latch at the shoe. At least some of the cement in the shoe track is displaced from the casing's shoe to the borehole by pumping the plugs and the internal component to the shoe. With the cement displaced out of the shoe track, the time required to drill out the assembly can be greatly reduced.

  • Publication number: 20220292451
Abstract: There are disclosed systems and methods for location tracking and health monitoring of portable assets. In an embodiment, a tracking and monitoring unit is affixed to the portable asset and has an enclosure housing a microcontroller coupled with a plurality of state sensors, an interrogation tag, and a multi-mode communication system. The microcontroller collects raw data representing a location and a health of the portable asset from the multi-mode communication system and the plurality of the state sensors. An analysis platform receives the raw data from the tracking and monitoring unit and executes a tracking, monitoring, and management module to analyze the raw data according to a plurality of user-defined conditions and, in turn, determine one or more corresponding outcomes, which are presented upon one or more user devices via one or more interactive screens of a tracking and monitoring application implemented by an application-linking platform. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220279861
Abstract: An under garment includes a waist band and a fabric body connected to the waist band and defining two leg openings. The fabric body defines a front portion for covering the front of a user's torso and a rear portion for covering a rear of the user's torso. A pull tab is connected to one of the front portion of the fabric body and the waist band so as to extend from a front, exterior side, of the under garment. The pull tab is preferably located such that it can be easily accessed by a user with their fly unzipped and the top button or clasp of their pants still engaged.

  • Publication number: 20220206099
Abstract: A method of de-embedding a feed line is shown. The method includes measuring network parameters of a multilayered planar substrate and obtaining network parameters of a feed line using a short-open-calibration (SOC) according to an ABCD-matrix. An “a” block of the ABCD-matrix includes a first matrix multiplied by a transpose of a first short-circuit current. The first matrix is an inverse of a difference of an open-circuit current and a second short-circuit current. A “c” block of the ABCD-matrix includes the open-circuit current multiplied by the “a” block. The method includes de-embedding the network parameters of the feed line from the network parameters of the multilayered planar substrate to obtain microwave circuit network parameters and, responsive to the microwave circuit network parameters being within or not within a specified range, respectively approving or rejecting customer shipment of the microwave circuit.

  • Patent number: 10764532
Abstract: Unlike conventional methods and systems for locating ingress, which only monitor the upstream path, a method and system of locating ingress by monitoring the downstream path is provided. A test system measures the signal quality in the upstream path and in dependence upon a noise level being above a predetermined limit, polls a plurality of terminal equipment devices to return a downstream signal quality measurement. The test instrument analyzes the downstream signal quality measurements to locate an ingress source contributing to the noise.

  • Patent number: 10294040
Abstract: Cleaning assemblies, particularly for conveyor systems, are provided. For example, a cleaning assembly comprises a split fluid jet head that includes an inlet end for receipt of a flow of a fluid, an outlet end for an egress of the fluid, and a plurality of veins extending from the inlet end to the outlet end. The plurality of veins split the flow of the fluid into a plurality of flows of the fluid. The cleaning assembly also comprises a manifold that includes a body and a plurality of fluid passages defined through the body. Each fluid passage has an inlet port and an outlet port. The outlet ports are defined at various locations along the body. The manifold is configured to receive the split fluid jet head such that each vein of the plurality of veins is aligned with an inlet port of the plurality of inlet ports.
