    Abstract: The present invention relates to traditional Chinese medicine, particularly to a traditional Chinese medicine composition for sober-up and hepatic protection and a process for preparing the same. This composition is made from Radix Puerariae, Semen Hoveniae and Fructus Gardeniae. This composition has no significant effect on the body weight of mice. The hepatic TG level in animals of 1.400 g/kg·bw dosage group is significantly lower than that of the model control group, while the hepatic GSH level is significantly higher than that of the model control group. The degree of hepatic steatosis in animals of 1.400 g/kg·bw dosage group is significantly lower than that of the model control group. Therefore, the composition of the present invention has auxiliary protective effects on liver damages caused by alcohol. The process for preparing the composition comprises: extracting Radix Puerariae, Semen Hoveniae and Fructus Gardeniae with water, concentrating, drying, and pulverizing the extract.
