Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure involve a system and/or method for replication size estimation and progress monitoring for a file system residing on a computing system. The replication progress monitoring system obtains a first snapshot of a file system for a first point in time and a second snapshot of the file system for a second point in time. The system may then calculate the difference between the first snapshot size from the second snapshot size and add to the difference the size a released data size. The released data size includes the size of any blocks of data included in the first snapshot and released before the second snapshot was taken. The replication transfer size may then be estimated by adding the snapshot size difference with the released size estimate.

Abstract: Provided are a method, system, and program for processing a request to download an object from a client computer over a network. A request is received from the client and a determination is made as whether at least one object indicated in the request is available for download to the client computer, wherein the request is capable of indicating a plurality of objects to download. A determination is made as to whether the request indicates at least one precondition that applies to at least one of the objects indicated in the request and a determination is made as to whether the at least one available requested object to which the at least one precondition applies satisfies the precondition. A response is prepared including at least one available requested object if the precondition is satisfied and information is prepared indicating results of processing the request to return.

Abstract: A method and system for performing on-line status checking of digital certificates. Specifically, the present invention describes a communication system having a client and a server coupled together. The client requests information from the server. A secure communication session is established between the client and the server for checking the revocation status of a digital certificate associated with the information. As such, further authentication of communication about the certificate status between the client and the server is unnecessary. A status request pertaining to the digital certificate is sent by the client to the server. The server checks the revocation status of the digital certificate against a current digitally signed certificate revocation list. The server notifies the client as to the revocation status of the digital certificate prior to any transmission of information.
