  • Patent number: 5236162
Abstract: A universal pump bracket incorporating a hanger is attached to each infusion pump in a hospital employing the system. A pump support element adapted to cooperatively receive the bracket hanger is mounted on each wheelchair, stretcher and on other fixed and portable pump receiving stations in the hospital. The transport of patients receiving intravenous medication is expedited with the system since an infusion pump may be safely demountably supported by the same device on which the patient is transported, eliminating the need for auxiliary roller stands and additional personnel.

  • Patent number: 4818135
Abstract: A locking device for securing inner and outer telescoping cylindrical tubes in a selected relationship. A resilient collar attached to one end of the outer tube includes and inner annular flange extending in close-fitting relation between the inner and outer tubes. A locking screw extending through the outer tube is actuatable to bear against and resiliently circumferentially displace the inner flange to lock the inner tube in the desired position. The device is particularly suited for use with adjustable stands such as hospital IV bottle stands and the like.

  • Patent number: 4738369
Abstract: A support for patient monitoring equipment is provided by a vertical column suspended from a ceiling by a carriage assembly mounted for transverse movement on roller assemblies along a pair of parallel ceiling-mounted tracks. The column is stabilized by the roller assemblies which include rollers bearing on the track flanges as well as rollers disposed beneath the tracks effectively preventing rocking movement of the column. In the preferred embodiment, a rotatable sleeve is disposed on the vertical column for mounting of an infusion pump and permits rotation of the pump to any desired facing position. A telescoping tube within the column is selectively positionable between upper and lower positions and carries IV bottle mounting arms on its upper end. The arms may be lowered for attachment and removal of the bottles and raised and locked at an elevated operating position.
