  • Patent number: 5777266
Abstract: A modular cable protection system which is intended to protect electrical cables, fluid hoses and data cables from externally caused physical or mechanical damage. The modular protective components may be detachably interlocked with other structural components so as to form a suitably sized cable protection system. The components may be constituted of molded plastic material of high rigidity and strength, and are adapted to be selectively joined to other components as required to provide the necessary protective array in a simply assembled and decorative manner which not only fulfills the desired protective tasks but which is also authentically pleasing in appearance.

  • Patent number: 5417594
Abstract: A male electrical plug assembly includes an elongated body, terminal holder and terminal retainer made of an insulating material. The body has locating elements and locating passages aligned with the locating elements. The terminal holder fits over an opposite end portion of the body and has cavities formed thereon and slots defined therein aligned with the cavities. The cavities and slots are alignable with the locating passages and the locating elements. The male plug assembly also includes electrical terminals disposed in the cavities and elongated electrical contact elements mounted to the locating elements and extending through the locating passages of the body and through the slots and through the cavities of the terminal holder and through the terminals disposed in the cavities and into the terminal retainer.

  • Patent number: 5139429
Abstract: A lockout device for enclosing and inhibiting unauthorized access to an electrical connector attached to an electrical cable has first and second identical joinable shell portions each with a concave interior so that when the shell portions are joined the interiors define a cavity for receiving an electrical connector. Each shell portion has a hinge pin and a hinge clevis for connection to a hinge clevis and a hinge pin, respectively, on the other shell portion to pivotally join the shell portions so that they are pivotable between open and closed positions. Male and female latch members engageable with similar members on the other shell portion are provided to hold the shell portions in the closed position. Arcuate recesses at opposite ends of the said shell portions form a circular opening, when the portions are joined, to permit a cable attached to the connector contained in the cavity to extend out of the housing.
