Abstract: A method of producing a rotary screen printing cylinder or other fine-apertured sheet material which comprises electro-deposition of a plastic material onto an electrically conductive fine-apertured cylinder or other sheet substrate. When applied to wire mesh cylinders, the method is a fast and effective way of reducing the aperture size. The method can also be operated so that plastic is deposited on one side only of the substrate to increase the substrate strength with little or no aperture size reduction.
