  • Patent number: 8984922
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus (100) for positioning a tool (21) in a profile rolling machine, comprising a base (10) and at least one spindle (30) extending in a first bore (17) of the base as abutment for the tool (21). A retraction rod (25) serves as connection between the base and the tool (21). A tractive force for the retraction rod (25) is generated by an actuator (50) and the tool is pulled by the retraction rod (25) against a tool stop (23). The first bore (17) is locally expanded to form a cylinder chamber (12). A piston (40) is mounted in an axially displaceable manner in the chamber (12). A pressure medium (M) is introduced via a pressure connection (46) into the base (10) into the cylinder chamber (12) between the base and the piston (40) for applying a force (F1) on the piston (40).

  • Patent number: 8468863
Abstract: The invention relates to a profile-rolling machine for rolling a profile in a blank, wherein the profile-rolling machine has a first and a second profile-rolling jaw. The second profile-rolling jaw (126) is guided—held by a carriage (124)—in a guide track (130) relative to the first profile-rolling jaw (110) for the purpose of rolling the profile into the blank. The carriage (124) has a carriage slide plate (122) and the guide track (130) has a guide slide plate (132). The two slide plates together form a sliding pairing and slide on each other. In order to render said sliding pairing less susceptible to dirty lubricant and less susceptible to wear, it is proposed according to the invention to manufacture the guide slide plate (132) and/or the carriage slide plate (122) at least partially from ceramic or from a non-metallic material or to coat the same with such materials.

  • Patent number: 4633227
Abstract: There is disclosed a programmable keyboard apparatus for allowing a user to select any one of a predetermined number of different keyboard arrangements such as the Qwerty or the Dvorak arrangements. The keyboard contains a plurality of fixed input keys arranged in rows and columns and according to a standard typewriter keyboard format. Each key has positioned above the key an indicating area whereby the designation or symbol for the key is automatically changed by the apparatus each time a different format is selected. In this manner, the user can experiment with keyboard formats which enable more rapid typing with fewer errors. The construction is extremely economical, and therefore, in utilizing the apparatus a user will have access to different keyboard arrangements which will increase the users ability to type or enter data.

  • Patent number: 3970792
Abstract: Disclosed is a swivel mounting structure for a video-telephone unit. The mounting structure allows the unit to be readily rotated and inclined or be moved with a combination of both movements. The structure will maintain the unit in the position to which it is set by either the friction provided by mechanical locking members or by having the center of gravity of the unit positioned above the center of a pair of spaced rocker members riding within a cylindrical opening.
