The piston includes a main piston body having a primary cylindrical surface, a first end, and a secondary surface of smaller diameter, the secondary surface of smaller diameter is disposed between the primary cylindrical surface and the first end. At least one piston ring is disposed and captured in an operational position about the secondary surface of the piston body by a releasably mounted cap positioned on the first end of the piston body.
