  • Patent number: 8540323
Abstract: An electronically controlled braking device of a towing vehicle-trailer combination, which includes at least a generating arrangement (FBM) for generating at least one brake request signal, an electronic towing vehicle brake control unit associated with the towing vehicle for generating brake pressure setpoint value signals for at least one electro-pneumatic pressure control module of the towing vehicle as a function of the brake request signal, a data link between the towing vehicle and the trailer, at least one electro-pneumatic pressure control module associated with the trailer for controlling a trailer brake pressure, in which the data link is for direct communication between the towing vehicle brake control unit and the at least one electro-pneumatic pressure control module of the trailer, and in which the towing vehicle brake control unit and the data link are for directly inputting control signals into the at least one pressure control module of the trailer for generating the trailer brake pressure at

  • Patent number: 7866761
Abstract: A braking system for vehicles, including at least one first brake circuit, and at least one second brake circuit, in which the at least one first brake circuit and the at least one second brake circuit each have an electrical control circuit, which respectively has an electronic control unit and its own power supply device, and brake actuating devices which are activatable by the electronic control units, at least one of the brake actuating devices being activatable by more than one of the electronic control units, in which the brake circuits are electrically activatable via a foot brake valve, and the foot brake valve has two electrical braking transmitter devices which are each connected to the electronic control units so that they are DC-isolated.

  • Patent number: 6076391
Abstract: A method and apparatus for checking a sensor which generates an electrical measuring signal on the basis of a non-electrical physical value. A test value transmitter is used to generate a non-electrical physical value (which is the same type as the physical value to be measured by the sensor) when an electrical checking signal is applied. The electrical checking signal and the electrical test signal are compared with each other and thus simulate a measuring operation of the sensor. The sensor is effectively checked, on the basis of its own physical measuring operation over the sensors entire measuring range.
