  • Patent number: 4411656
Abstract: An improved one-piece disposable fluid-filled compressible syringe comprised of a shielding disc molded into a substantially intermediate portion of the syringe neck and lying perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the syringe to promote aseptic technique in manipulating the syringe during use. The syringe also includes an improved syringe cap comprised of a disc, perpendicularly oriented to the longitudinal axis of the syringe, a semi-circular gripping piece perpendicularly mounted to one surface of the disc and a sleeve to receive the syringe tip mounted to the disc surface opposite to the surface to which the gripping piece is attached.
