  • Patent number: 7909939
Abstract: A vent system for a dishwasher provides a mixing chamber receiving high humidity air from a downdraft dishwasher vent system or the like and mixes this air with dry air before discharging it from the dishwasher to reduce the humidity of the discharged air moderating condensation problems.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 25, 2007
Date of Patent: March 22, 2011
    Assignee: Illinois Tool Works, Inc.
Inventors: Mark Edward Brewer, Walter G. Stelzer, Kenyon A. Hapke
  • Patent number: 7887643
Abstract: A dishwasher provides forced air flow in a counter-convectional direction so as to exhaust air out of a bottom portion of the washing volume in contrast to normal convective air flow.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 18, 2005
Date of Patent: February 15, 2011
    Assignee: Illinois Tool Works, Inc.

  • Patent number: 6354970
Abstract: A curve ball is provided by a sphere having a non-perforated outer surface formed by a pair of hemispheres joined at an equator and having a pole axis extending through the center of the sphere perpendicularly to the plane of the equator. One of the hemispheres has at least one arcuate groove. The ball curves toward the groove when thrown in a direction along and coincident with the plane of the equator and spinning about the pole axis.

  • Patent number: 5421436
Abstract: A brake assembly (10) for selectively starting and stopping rotation of a shaft (12) journaled in a frame (14) of a motor comprises an end plate (16) mounted to the motor frame, the end plate (16) being formed with mounting slots (40) formed axially therein. Friction discs (26, 26a) are secured to the shaft (12) for rotation therewith about the longitudinal axis of the shaft (12) and pressure plates (36, 36a, 36b) are non-rotatably mounted in the mounting slots (40) of the end plates (16) and axially movable toward and away from the friction discs (26, 26a).
