  • Publication number: 20110193434
Abstract: A starting device having a drive-end bracket, in which a bearing is fastened, having a drive shaft, the bearing in the bearing bracket at least indirectly supporting the drive shaft, having a starter pinion which is fastened on the drive shaft so that a torque is able to be transferred from the drive shaft to the starter pinion, the starter pinion having an end face and a retaining ring being situated on the drive shaft in a fixed manner, at the end face, the starter pinion having a recess in which a retaining element is situated, which prevents the retaining ring from spreading inadmissibly.

  • Publication number: 20110187225
Abstract: An electric machine has at least two pairs of carbon brushes made up of one plus and one minus carbon brush, which interact with a commutator in order to supply current to the rotor, the carbon brushes being mounted with their brush holder on a brush plate via a mount, and the mounts on the brush plate lying across from each other at 180°. The holding part on at least one brush holder is offset from the center, in particular from the axis of symmetry of the brush holder, by an angle relative to the rotor axis so as to realize an asymmetrical placement of the carbon brush, the holding part on the other brush holders being disposed on their axes of symmetry.

  • Publication number: 20110181148
Abstract: A brush device for an electric machine includes a brush holder, a brush which is accommodated therein and has an integrated stranded wire, and a first spring which prestresses the brush with respect to a commutator. At least one second spring is disposed parallel to the first spring, which prestresses the brush with respect to the commutator.

  • Publication number: 20090020091
Abstract: The invention relates to a starter device (10) for internal combustion engines (15) in motor vehicles with a controller (19), a starter relay (12), a starter pinion (13) and a starter motor (11), whereby on each start/stop process in the stop phase (first step) the starter relay engages the starter pinion in the toothed ring (14) of the engine and in the start phase (second step) the engine is turned over by the starter motor. According to the invention, the starter pinion (13) may be engaged as quietly as possible for a subsequent starting process on switching off the engine (10) and held in position until starting, whereby, in the first step of the starting process, the armature (28) of the starter relay (12) is withdrawn with reduced force to a position with open switch contact (18) and held there until the start of the second step, whereupon the armature (28) closes the switch contact (18) of the starter motor with full force.

  • Patent number: 4176685
Abstract: An arrangement for controlling the flow of a hydraulic fluid between a pump, a user and a fluid reservoir includes a main control slide, an auxiliary control slide accommodated in a compartment provided in one end of the main control slide, a flow-regulating valve arranged in parallel to the main control slide between the pump and the fluid reservoir and a holding valve arranged in a pressure conduit section between the main control slide and the user. The main control slide is shiftably received in a bore which has a plurality of annular chambers arranged therealong. The main control slide has a plurality of lands separated by respective recesses, the lands, depending on the position of the main control slide, establishing or interrupting the communication between the respective chambers.
