    Abstract: Support structure for a refuse can comprises a base support adapted to receive the flange of a conventional refuse can. A locking bracket comprises a male member fixed to the can and fitting within an aperture in a female member mounted on a support structure and lockable therein, to prevent the refuse can from being removed from the base support. The lid of the can may be hinged to the support structure or to the can, to encourage users to replace the lid over the open end of the can.
