The present invention provides concentrated liquid formulations of resveratrol, typically having a resveratrol concentration of at least 10% by weight. These formulations improve patient compliance because the patient need not consume such a large volume of a resveratrol formulation.

The compositions contain 30 to 80 wt. % of a nonionic surfactant, 1 to about 20 wt. % of an anionic soap, and 0.1% to 10 wt. % of a hydrophobically modified polar polymer. A method of using the composition is also described.
