  • Patent number: 7044309
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for highly flexible placement of one or more wheel chocks on a transport to thereby support one or more motorcycles. The wheel chocks are preferably mounted to the transport utilizing flexible straps. When the straps are under tension, then the wheel chock is urged in a first direction towards the motorcycle wheel. Additional straps may secure the motorcycle to the transport such that when the additional straps are under tension then the motorcycle is urged in a second direction toward the wheel chock. In a preferred embodiment, the first direction and second direction are substantially opposite so that movement of the wheel chock and motorcycle is prevented.

  • Patent number: 6974007
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for protecting the luster and finish of a motorcycle saddlebag. In a preferred embodiment, an outer covering is provided that is secured around the motorcycle saddlebag in a manner that the outer covering can be utilized while driving the motorcycle through inclement weather. The outer covering is preferably readily installable and/or removable and may comprise an elastic opening that opens to fit over the saddlebag and then contracts to hold the covering in position. A layer of heat insulation material may-be provided to limit heat damage that may otherwise be caused by extensive sun exposure. An additional retainer such as retainer clips may be utilized for securing the protection apparatus in position, if necessary. The protective covering may comprise one or more pockets or holders, such as map pockets.

  • Publication number: 20040193538
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for retrieving a copy of an original receipt by merchants to avoid chargebacks on legitimate sales. In a preferred embodiment, a receipt is printed that contains machine-readable information, such as bar codes or other suitable machine-readable information. The receipt is scanned to provide an electronic copy that is stored in one or more memories. The receipt is retrievable by use of the machine-readable information that may include credit card number, date, amount, and the like. In one preferred embodiment, the stored information is made available through a website to the purchaser who can obtain online a copy of the receipt to thereby avoid the time and cost of unnecessary chargebacks. In another preferred embodiment, a processor handles the chargeback inquiry so the merchant does not need to respond to chargeback inquiry requests.
