  • Patent number: 4618063
Abstract: A shelf partition for use with a shelf having parallel rows of perforations, each row of perforations including a plurality of perforations which are spaced apart by a predetermined distance. The shelf partition is positionable on the shelf for dividing the shelf into a pair of compartments. The shelf partition comprises a base having a bottom surface adapted to rest on the shelf and a wall portion extending upward from the base. The base has at least one longitudinally extending slot therein. The length of the longitudinal slot in said base is greater than the spacing between adjacent rows of perforations in the shelf and is greater than the spacing between adjacent perforations in each of the rows.

  • Patent number: 4606170
Abstract: A decorative shelf edging strip has a generally L-shaped cross section. The strip cooperates with a metal shelf having two successive bends forming a front face and underturned lip. The front face of one of the legs of the L is treated with a decorative coating which may simulate wood grain for decorating the front face of the shelf. The second leg of the L-shaped strip terminates in a hook which engages the edge of the underturned lip of the shelf. The first and second legs of the strip form an angle slightly less than 90.degree. and the second leg further includes a small dogleg bend. A rib extends along the length of the strip from the upper portion of the first leg. Upon installation, the hook is first engaged with the rear edge of the underturned lip of the metal shelf.

  • Patent number: 4519511
Abstract: A shelf support apparatus includes a pair of spaced apart longitudinally extending channel members facing each other and crosspieces which extend between the channel members and supports the shelf. Each channel member defines a guideway therein. The side of each channel member which faces the other channel member has two spaced apart front walls defining a slot between them. The slot extends along the length of the channel member. A plurality of support means are formed on each front wall of each channel member and extends into the guideway of the channel member. The support means are preferably longitudinally spaced along the channel members. Each crosspiece has relatively narrow portions extending through the slots in a pair of channel members and relatively wide support portions disposed within the guideways in the pair of channel members. Each end portion of the crosspiece is supported on support means extending into the guideways in the pair of channel members.

  • Patent number: 3954184
Abstract: A shelf partition designed for easy attachment to, and removal from, a display shelf or the like. A main body portion includes a plurality of integral retaining members, each of which may be inserted into, or removed from, a recess in the shelf. Each retaining member includes a flexible member which carries a locking surface. The flexible member is designed to be cammed away from an edge of a recess as the flexible member is inserted into or removed from the recess. In a particular embodiment the partition is retained in place by means of a plurality of generally hook-shaped tab members with the retaining members being disposed between the tab members and the main body portion of the partition.
