  • Publication number: 20080307928
Abstract: Circular saw blades are treated in a straightening machine for eliminating unevennesses in the saw blades. The machine is provided with rollers for straightening uneven sections of the saw blade (1). The straightening rollers are sets of balls (22, 22?, 23, 23?) which are pressed from both sides against the blade while a relative movement between the blade and the balls takes place. This movement may either be circular or along radial tracks of the blade. Alternatively, disc-shaped rollers are arranged with their axes perpendicular to a radius of the saw blade, and are running along radial tracks according to a relative movement between the saw blade and the rollers.

  • Publication number: 20070251353
Abstract: Device for straightening the teeth of a band saw blade (1) with a measuring device (4) for measuring the bending of the individual teeth relative to the tooth root and setting pliers (5) arranged at a distance behind the measuring device in the travel direction of the saw blade to form the tooth back into the plane of the saw blade.

  • Patent number: 6105466
Abstract: A band saw blade tensioning machine with a tensioning station for rolling tension into the band saw blade and a measuring station disposed above the saw blade for recording the curvature across the band saw blade while this is travelling freely from an elevated point to the measuring site. Rollers are disposed opposite each other with curved surfaces and a device for simultaneously pressing the rollers against the upper and lower side of the band saw blade to roll tension into the blade.

  • Patent number: 5269205
Abstract: A circular saw blade straightening machine for eliminating unevenness in circular saw blades is disclosed, having straightening rollers disposed on both sides of the saw blade. The rollers are disposed opposite one another on a straight line passing through the middle of the saw blade. A feeler gauge is provided to scan the surface of the saw blade and to generate a signal in the event of unevenness being detected to initiate an appropriate movement of the straightening rollers.

  • Patent number: 4852430
Abstract: A band saw straightening machine having a sensor for detecting unevenness, a straightening station having special pairs of cooperative, complementarily shaped, blade staddling convex and concave rollers, a blade velocity measuring device, and a blade drive station, the pairs of respective rollers being actuated to operate on the blade when triggered with detection of unevenness by the sensor.
