    Abstract: A straight-forward, simplified process and apparatus for obtaining blood plasma are provided which employ no pumps or other external flow monitoring devices. Instead, a plasma filtering assembly is suspended a predetermined distance below the injection site to employ the forces of gravity to separate plasma from the other components of whole blood.
