  • Publication number: 20240014262
Abstract: A semiconductor, such as crystallized silicon or germanium, features top-mounted ridges. Circuits are capable of being integrated onto the ridges using modified photolithographic processes. The ridged architecture increases the usable surface area per given footprint of semiconductors. Specifically, if the preferred embodiment is adopted, the ridges increase relative surface area by 41.42%. Such an increase in surface area has numerous advantages. One advantage is that microchip footprints can be 29.29% smaller, allowing 1.41 times more microchips to be produced per wafer. Another advantage is that solar panels can contain 1.41 times more electron-shuttling junctions, thereby increasing overall sunlight harnessing, electrical conversion, and panel efficiency by 41.42%.

  • Publication number: 20230336015
Abstract: A battery system comprises multiple electrochemical units for receiving, storing, and providing electricity; an integrated network of specially arranged conductors for carrying and transmitting electricity from, to, among, and/or between the electrochemical units; and various strategically interspersed current-regulating devices for predeterminatively routing electricity through the conductors. The electrochemical units may be in the form of cells, modules, packs, or other types of containers or enclosures. The conductors are arranged to enable two or more connection modes, said connection modes being selected from the group consisting of series, parallel, and series-parallel connections. The current-regulating devices are positioned in proximity to desired rerouting points and are capable of controlling the path of electricity through the network of conductors and thereby selectively and temporarily altering the connection mode of the electrochemical units.

  • Publication number: 20230158450
Abstract: Disclosed are devices and methods for capturing carbon dioxide and other gases. All gas-capturing systems employ chemical fluid/media for binding purposes. One system delivers chemicals in droplet form, while another system delivers feed gas in bubble form. All systems employ an admixing chamber for confining and uniting particles of matter, as well as streaming means for placing gas in confinement. The droplet-based delivery system packetizes chemicals using an atomizing device, while the bubble-based delivery system packetizes gaseous feedstock using metering means, rerouting means, perturbation means, and stream-dividing means. The droplet and bubble systems feature common or unique advantages relating to chemical flow, surface area, and/or progressive cycling. These advantages increase the efficiency of gas-capturing devices in general and decarbonizing devices in particular.

  • Publication number: 20230119968
Abstract: Disclosed are various methods and systems for increasing the permeability of cerebral capillaries. Increased permeability is accomplished via stretching means, inflaming means, overtaxing means, underoxygenating means, and/or immunocompromising means. Preferred stretching means include vasoconstrictors and cardiostimulators. Preferred inflaming means include electromagnetic fields and sonic waves. Preferred overtaxing means include xenon administration. Preferred underoxygenating means include airway-regulated oxygen deprivation. Preferred immunocompromising means include immunosuppressants and ionizing radiation. Also disclosed are processes for subsequently normalizing the permeability of cerebral capillaries. All disclosed means/processes can be selectively grouped, that is, combined or omitted, in accordance with the invention.

  • Patent number: 7324301
Abstract: A hard disk drive comprises an actuator with independently movable arms and a printed circuit board with custom core electronic architecture. The drive also comprises one or more platters aggregating two or more platter surfaces whereupon data may be read from or written to by corresponding read/write heads. The independent-arm actuator and custom printed circuit board enable alternate or interleaving bits or blocks of data to be read or written simultaneously across a plurality of platter surfaces within the same physical drive.
