    Abstract: Pellets may be provided with a water insoluble coating in a rotating pan by heating the pellets to a temperature of about two to three degrees centigrade below the melting point of the coating composition and subsequent thereto flowing molten coating composition onto the pellets. The method is particularly suitable for providing medicinal pellets with an enteric coating, specifically those enteric coatings having sustained release characteristics.
