  • Publication number: 20180001450
Abstract: An extractor may include an elongated section including a proximal section configured to be coupled to a rotary tool and a distal section configured to be inserted into a bore of a bolt. A longitudinal axis may extend lengthwise through a center of the distal section and wherein the first and second surfaces are recessed inwardly toward the longitudinal axis. The distal section may be generally shaped as a prism having a generally polygonal cross-section including a plurality of faces, and a contact edge is defined between adjacent ones of the faces. Each of the faces includes a first surface and a second surface, the first surface narrowing in a direction toward a distal end of the distal section and the second surface widening in the direction toward the distal end of the distal section.

  • Patent number: 9724747
Abstract: The present invention relates to wire bending system for a hand tool for forming a controlled bend in a wire. The tool has a wire bending system engaged with a hand tool. The wire bending or shaping system may be open or enclosed, and optionally permits bending in a direction that is perpendicular or coaxial to an axis of a hand tool. The wire bending system may be at either side of the hand tool. A pin may be used to additionally aid bending. The hand tool is provided with a plurality of first and second operably engaged housings for securing a number of tool bits members.

  • Patent number: 9637043
Abstract: A bale strapping apparatus is provided. The apparatus may include a floor to receive at least one bale of material, a bar, and means for moving the bar. The bar may include at least one dispenser for receiving and dispensing securing members. The securing members may be permanently attached to the dispenser. Furthermore, the bar may be moved laterally above and across the floor and, accordingly, over the at least one bale of material, thereby causing the dispenser to dispense the securing member around the at least one bale. The apparatus may then tighten the securing members, thus securing the bale to the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 9450388
Abstract: A multi-function wire stripping band tool generally for electricians that has a wire stripping system for a controlled cut and strip of the insulation from a wire. The tool includes an elongated body member having a longitudinal cavity and a transverse opening therein which communicates with the longitudinal cavity and one end of the body member. A stationary cutting blade is disposed in the inner end of the longitudinal cavity, and a movable cutting blade is movably mounted within an upper end of the longitudinal cavity. A spring is disposed between and engaged with a push button actuator so as to urge the movable blade to an open and retracted position. The wire stripping system is engaged with a handle region of the hand tool, and permits stripping in a direction that is perpendicular a longitudinal axis of the multi-function hand tool.

  • Patent number: 9374080
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for outputting a reset signal during power-up until two conditions are satisfied. In one embodiment, the method and apparatus includes a voltage detector that provides a first output (“VO1”) when an output voltage of a regulator (“VREG”) exceeds a threshold voltage, thereby satisfying a first condition, a comparator receiving a first input voltage and a second input voltage, the comparator providing a second output (“VO2”) when the first input voltage exceeds the second input voltage, thereby satisfying a second condition, and a release circuit that outputs the reset signal unless the voltage detector provides VO1 while the comparator provides VO2.

  • Patent number: 9225153
Abstract: A multi-function wire stripping hand tool and a kit including the hand tool is disclosed. The multi-function wire stripping hand tool includes first and second members that are pivotably secured to one another. One or both of handle sections of the first and second members include a plurality of tool bits that are useable for a variety of operations. A wire stripping mechanism including wire stripping blades that are coupled to the handle sections of the first and second members along either the width or the length of the handle sections, and is configured to strip an insulating layer from a wire without damaging its core. When a wire is placed between the wire stripping blades and the handles are pivoted together, the blades engage the wire and cut the wire to a predetermined depth that is sufficient to strip the insulating layer from the wire.
